The Iranian Headache Association (IHA) is a national nonprofit organization founded in 2013 as a division of the Iranian Neurological Society. In 2015, IHA became a member of the International Headache Society (IHS) and the European Headache Federation (EHF). It was certified as an independent, formal multidisciplinary organization in 2021. IHA collaborates with neurologists, pediatric neurologists, psychiatrists, physiatrists, and pain specialists to advance headache science and improve the lives of individuals with headache disorders.
IHA is dedicated to changing the conversation about the causes and treatments of headaches and related painful disorders. Educating key stakeholders—such as neurologists, general practitioners, and others involved in headache management—about the diagnosis and treatment of these disorders is crucial to our mission.
